About Dr. Kim
Dr. Stanley Kim grew up in Michigan and graduated from the University of Michigan. He attended Wayne State University Medical School and completed his Neurosurgery residency at The Ohio State University. He then completed a Neuroendovascular Surgery fellowship at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo with Dr. Nick Hopkins. He also served as Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at SUNY Buffalo Medical School. Dr. Kim is honored to be leading his peers as President of the Texas Association of Neurological Surgeons (TANS).
Dr. Kim moved to Austin in 2003 and was the first neurosurgeon to perform neuroendovascular procedures in Austin. Most neurosurgeons can only provide surgical treatments to their patients, but Dr. Kim’s specialized training offers a wider range of options. His expertise in neuroendovascular procedures enables him to provide minimally invasive catheter-based treatment to his patients with vascular diseases of the brain. Dr. Kim is the most experienced neurosurgeon in Austin who can offer such options to his patients. He is an in-demand and well-regarded surgeon known for his skill, integrity, and compassion.
Dr. Kim is married with two children.
